Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm #32
In "The Scarlet Pimple Face," Pebbles’ frantic quest to hide a freckle on her nose takes an unexpected turn when her hastily worn mask leads Bedrock’s citizens to believe she’s a real masked crime-fighter. With a rush to the drugstore for face cream, she accidentally stops a robbery—only to vanish before anyone can thank her. Art by Frank Roberge, with both pencils and inks by the same hand, this 1976 Charlton classic captures a moment of innocent chaos, where a child’s vanity sparks a town’s mistaken hero worship.

Obsessed with covering a freckle on her nose before leaving for school, Pebbles dons a mask to hide the freckle and, in her mad rush, is mistaken for a "masked crime-fighter" by Bedrock's impressionable citizens. Impression becomes reality as, in her frenzied hurry, she foils a holdup at the very drugstore she bursts into to buy face cream... and dashes home to apply the remedy without any plaudits for her heroic deed.
