This 1975 Charlton gem from the Hanna-Barbera stable finds teenage Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm in a small rowboat, fishing rod in hand, coming face-to-face with an absolutely enormous whale that looms over them with a wide, cheerful grin — its sheer scale making the duo look hilariously tiny by comparison. A stylish teenage Pebbles also appears in the upper left corner, watching the prehistoric aquatic encounter unfold. Frank Roberge's bright, clean linework captures the playful spirit of the series perfectly, and with a story titled "Bamm-Bamm Finds a Friend," that grinning whale suddenly makes a lot of sense.
