Patsy Walker #8
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis December 1946 issue of Patsy Walker bursts with street-corner charm — the cover by Al Jaffee (inked by George Klein) shows Patsy in her eye-catching red polka-dot blouse dancing away from a hand-cranked organ grinder and his little monkey, while an enthusiastic young man laughs alongside her as musical notes fill the air. The whole scene has a breezy, mid-1940s small-town energy that made this series such a warm alternative to the superhero fare of the era. With a story titled "Pirate Queen!" waiting inside, there's clearly more adventure to Patsy's world than the sunny sidewalk scene might first suggest.
