A delightful slice of early-'50s teen comedy, this May 1951 issue puts Patsy Walker and her dark-haired pal (co-star Hedy Wolfe) at a soda fountain counter, while a flustered counter boy in a yellow jacket pleads, "Be patient, Madame… I only have TWO hands!" — an exasperated older woman in a purple suit pressing him from the other side. Al Jaffee handles every line of the cover art with his signature warmth and comic timing, and the promise of 52 pages of Patsy and her pals makes this one genuinely generous for a dime.
