Patsy and Hedy #23
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis January 1954 Atlas Comics charmer finds a dark-haired young woman leaning out of a "Super Express Limited" train window, cheerfully remarking how nice it is to have everyone see her off — while the group gathered on the platform (a blonde fellow, a young man in a brown shirt, a red-haired girl, and another young woman in blue) fires back that they're really there to make sure she doesn't change her mind and stay. Al Jaffee's cover art captures the warm, breezy social comedy that made Patsy and Hedy such an appealing slice of 1950s teen life, with snappy dialogue and expressive characters that pull you right into the scene. A delightful 10-cent read in the best tradition of Atlas's romance and humor comics.
