Pat Sullivan's Felix the Cat #70
In "A Game of Hoops," Felix the Cat stumbles into an unlikely alliance with a down-on-his-luck man named Henry, leading to a chaotic chase through the streets that accidentally lands them both at a circus. Written by Joe Oriolo and Otto Messmer, with art by Otto Messmer, this 1956 Harvey issue captures the classic charm of the character as Felix’s misadventures take a surprising turn—his persistence earns him a spot in the circus, but not quite the way he expected. The cover, penciled and inked by Joe Oriolo, perfectly captures the whimsy and motion of the moment.

Felix has been taken in by a jobless man named Henry, but when he helps himself to milk from the refrigerator Henry chases him out of the house and down the street, where their chase entertains the crowd waiting to get into a circus. This gets Henry a job as a clown, but Felix is rejected, and his efforts to get in as well only pay off when an injury gets him into the circus hospital.
