The cover of Parasomnia #2 is a genuinely striking visual statement — a bearded, backpack-laden man walks through a desolate urban landscape past a missing-child poster, while the entire lower half of the image inverts to reveal a shadowy, nightmarish mirror world populated by ghostly hands and a monstrous figure. Andrea Mutti's artwork (pencils, inks, and colors all his own) makes the waking and dreaming realms feel equally real and equally threatening, with that flipped logo hammering home the thematic duality. Dark Horse's 2021 series is shaping up to be a moody, layered exploration of the boundary between consciousness and something far darker.
