Pantha #2

Dynamite's 2012 series continues with issue two of "Dangerous Game," and Mark Texeira's cover makes an immediate impression — Pantha, clad in black and adorned with gold jewelry, stands defiant as two enormous serpents coil around her body, their fangs bared on either side of her. The painted, painterly quality of Texeira's cover work gives the whole image a visceral, pulpy energy that suits the character perfectly. Writer Brandon Jerwa and artist Pow Rodrix keep this dark adventure rolling, promising plenty more peril for one of comics' most formidable heroines.
