The thirteenth door of Pacush Blues opens with this volume subtitled Correspondance avec les Corps Obscurs, and the cover sets a wonderfully unsettling mood: a wide-eyed, rust-colored rat faces a shadowy dark twin emerging from a swirling black vortex, the two figures locked in a tense, pointing confrontation. Philuc's signed artwork captures that signature blend of humor and unease that has made this long-running French series so distinctive. A compelling 2010 entry for fans of thoughtful, offbeat bande dessinée.
