Père & Fils #3

Mi Tagawa's gentle seinen series continues with this third volume from Ki-oon, its cover rendered in soft, luminous watercolors that immediately set the tone. A man and a young boy face each other in close profile, eyes closed and foreheads nearly touching, while the boy holds a delicate branch of red blossoms — a quietly tender image that speaks volumes about the father-and-son bond at the series' heart. Père & Fils has a warmth that's hard to resist, and this 2016 volume looks like a lovely continuation of that emotional journey.
