Part of DC's 2006 "One Year Later" initiative, this issue of Outsiders arrives with Nightwing — escrima sticks in hand and an explosion at his back — leaping into battle against a heavily tattooed, fiercely determined young woman in the rubble-strewn street below. The tagline "Fighting Back!" says it all: the team is clearly not playing defense anymore. Judd Winick, Matthew Clark, and Art Thibert deliver what looks like a charged, kinetic chapter, brought to vivid life on the cover by Kalman Andrasofszky's dynamic linework.
