"Outlaws" #3 is a 52-page anthology featuring multiple crime and Western stories. One story follows John Barton and Twilight Bell as they investigate a murdered man and uncover a gold-digging scheme involving a gang of criminals led by Matt Brewer; the confrontation turns violent, resulting in multiple deaths before Barton and Bell emerge victorious. Another story involves a woman named Beth and a man named Lin in a gambling scenario where they play cards; after losing, Lin is confronted by other men seeking money owed from the game. The issue also includes a horror-tinged tale in which an old man encounters a blue, demonic creature in a snowy forest setting.
