"Outlaws" is a western crime anthology featuring multiple stories. One story depicts an outlaw shootout in desert terrain where a character named Cole Freeman engages in gunfire and loses his shooting eye, later being brought into town by lawmen. Another story, "Eagle of the Wilderness," is set in 1755 Virginia and follows a legendary frontier hunter called Long Rifle who is tracking down a young man named Joseph Grant to inform him that his search for the kidnapped Webster family is futile—the Indians have already killed them. Long Rifle, a mysterious and formidable hunter, contemplates joining Grant in pursuing vengeance against the Indians. A third story involves a saloon setting where a character named Moran takes control of a gold mining operation after the original owner's death, threatening to force the owner's daughter Fay to marry him to secure his claims.
