This is the first volume of the samurai fantasy series Orient, collecting the opening chapters of the story set in a war-torn feudal Japan where demonic beings known as Kishin have enslaved humanity. Written and illustrated by Shinobu Ohtani, the volume introduces the young swordsman Musashi and his friend Kojiro as they join a resistance group called the Obsidian Eight to fight back against the demonic overlords.
