The second volume of Soleil's Oracle arrives with a striking cover by Bertrand Benoît: a powerfully built warrior in a red cloak stands on a rocky precipice, sword in hand, a white mask covering his face as an ancient city sprawls across the sun-hazed valley below. The subtitle "L'esclave" — The Slave — sets a compelling tension against that commanding, almost godlike figure overlooking the landscape. Writer Ronan Le Breton and artist Benoît continue building their world of antiquity with this 2014 release, and the cover alone promises drama steeped in myth, power, and questions of freedom.
