Part of the celebrated Michel Vaillant "Onuitgegeven Toppers" series, this ninth volume spotlights Jean Graton's earlier work with the adventurous Oom Wim in a collection of previously unpublished stories. The cover sets a thrilling tone immediately: two figures cling to the rigging of a large red hot-air balloon as it drifts perilously low over storm-churned seas beneath brooding grey clouds. Published in 2004 by Graton Editeur, it's a wonderful showcase of Graton's storytelling range beyond the racing circuits he's best known for.
