From Belgian publisher Dupuis comes the first volume of Pascal Jousselin's charming series Onklopbaar ("Unbeatable"), subtitled Gerechtigheid en verse groente — "Justice and Fresh Vegetables." The cover sets the tone perfectly: an unassuming hero in a yellow checked jacket calmly carries grocery bags (baguette included) while a massive robotic hand looms from above and panicked bystanders scatter in the orange-red background behind him. Jousselin's clean, expressive linework — brought to life with warm colours — promises a superhero story that doesn't take itself too seriously, and that's exactly what makes it so appealing.
