In "Brain Drain," a Jupiterian alien crash-lands on Earth, takes over the body of a deceased old man, and awakens with no memory—only a new name, Proton, and strange powers. Though feared by most, he finds unexpected kindness from a woman and a professor who offer him shelter and guidance. When the truth about his origin comes to light, the professor prepares to use a device called "Brain Drain" to extract vital information from Proton’s mind—risking his very consciousness in the process.

In "Slasher," two detectives race to stop a knife-wielding serial killer terrorizing the city, their efforts culminating in a risky trap using a policewoman as bait. When the Slasher is finally shot, the shocking truth emerges: the killer was the estranged wife of one of the officers, driven to madness after her husband abandoned her.
