This issue contains two stories. "Adventures of 'B.C.' and Quickie: Deadline for Action" follows B.C. and Quickie as they attempt to rescue some gals headed for a waterfall, using a fishing line and canoe to pull them to safety. The main story, "Nyoka and the Elephant Battle," involves Nyoka witnessing a battle between two elephants at the royal arena after being summoned by the Maharajah of Suwanee. Nyoka also encounters a tribe of native hunters and a building surrounded by lions, though the full resolution of these encounters is not visible in the sampled pages.

Lion-Hearted Leo, the famous animal trainer, accepts an invitation to dinner at Nyoka's house—a chance to finally relax away from his work with beasts. Nyoka finds herself an unwilling guest at a maharajah's royal arena, where she's expected to watch a brutal elephant battle—a spectacle she finds deeply troubling.
