The concluding chapter of Image's NYC Mech: Beta Love arrives with a cover that turns the world literally upside down — a purple, partially skeletal robot figure tumbles through white space, weapons and mechanical debris scattering around her in a burst of orange energy. Andy MacDonald's artwork gives the figure an oddly graceful quality even in freefall, blending organic-looking textures with exposed machinery in a way that feels both unsettling and beautiful. IGN called it "the coolest book on the planet," and this 2005 finale from Miles Gunter and Ivan Brandon makes a strong case for that claim.
