Volume 7 of Wataru Karasuma's Not Lives puts protagonist Amamiya Kyouka front and center in a tense predicament — bound in chains and struggling against her restraints, her expression caught somewhere between defiance and alarm. A smaller inset panel echoes her desperate situation alongside the chilling text prompt "I've been…caught?", while an ominous cascade of in-game commands — "Release her," "Make it even more difficult to move," "Control Amamiya Kyouka" — hints at the dangerous virtual stakes closing in around her.
