These pages examine the "long-lost giallo" film "The Nitrate Plumes of the Phoenix" by Silvio Giorgi, a movie inspired by the comic book MiracuLass. The story begins with Myra Q, interrupted while at the cinema, receiving a mysterious phone call that warns of an impending murder. Investigating, she uncovers a blackmail scheme, wherein The Inspector extorts The Father for "unrestricted access to The Daughter’s adolescent flesh." Ultimately, The Inspector murders everyone, including Myra Q. The film ends in a surreal loop, returning to the opening phone call warning of the crime.
