Nikopol #1
This volume collects the first installment of Enki Bilal's acclaimed Nikopol trilogy, originally serialized in the 1980s. Set in a dystopian Paris of 2023, it follows exiled dissident Alcide Nikopol as he returns to a city under the thumb of a repressive regime, only to encounter a mysterious Egyptian god and a floating pyramid that upends reality. Bilal's distinctive painted artwork and surreal political allegory established this as a landmark of European graphic literature.
