Nighthawk #4

Nighthawk soars through a luminous night sky above a city skyline, but he's not alone — two menacing robotic owl-drones with glowing red eyes close in from both sides, wings spread and blades bared in a striking composition. Denys Cowan's pencils and Bill Sienkiewicz's inks give the cover a kinetic, almost noir-tinged energy that suits this darker corner of the Marvel Universe perfectly. Issue #4 makes a strong visual case that Raymond Kane's war on crime has just gotten a whole lot more complicated.
