In Limbo, Margali finds Nightmare torturing her daughter for information. In Winzeldorf, Nightcrawler, Logan and Christine find the circus of Kurt's childhood burned down and most of the workers slaughtered. Kurt learns from Feur that the assailants were looking for a sword that Kurt was supposed to have hidden and were moving on to Florida to continue the search. The trio take the Blackbird and head for a circus in the Everglades where Kurt was drugged and displayed as a monster in his younger days. Magik and Margali learn from Nightmare that someone is trying to find the Soulsword.
