Night Nurse #1
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeMarvel's 1972 romance-drama series launches here with a cover by Win Mortimer that drops readers right into the emotional chaos of big-city hospital life — Linda, dressed in her crisp white nurse's uniform, rushes to aid an injured man on the ground while a bystander shouts a warning and the caption balloons lay out her agonizing dilemma: help him and lose the man she loves forever. The tagline promises "all the glamour, the heartache, the throbbing excitement of a big-city hospital," and Mortimer's busy street scene — complete with onlookers, a police officer, and that telling red-cross medical kit — delivers on that promise before you've even opened the cover. Written by Jean Thomas with art and inks by Winslow Mortimer and lettering by Artie Simek, "The Making of a Nurse!" is a genuine slice of early-'70s Marvel storytelling that stepped confidently outside the superhero mold.
