Part of DC Universe Rebirth's ambitious expansion of the Superman legacy, New Super-Man #8 arrives in 2017 with a cover by Viktor Bogdanovic that crackles with chaotic energy. A figure in a Batman-style costume clashes violently with a monstrous enemy wielding a heavy pipe, while a young hero in a red-and-gold Super-Man suit surges forward from below amid crumbling debris — and shadowy bat-cloaked figures press in from all sides, giving weight to the cover's bold declaration: "Battle of the Bat!" With Gene Luen Yang writing and Billy Tan on interior art, "Training Day: Part Two" promises that China's Justice League of China is in for a rough lesson.
