New Super-Man #4
Part four of "Made in China" arrives with a cover that throws the Justice League of China headlong into battle against the Chinese Freedom Fighters — and Viktor Bogdanovic's artwork makes every punch and lasso feel kinetic and alive. The New Super-Man himself surges forward in his red-and-yellow costume, fist raised, while teammates — including a green-clad figure wielding a pink energy lasso — tangle with armored and monstrous opponents across a rubble-strewn battlefield. Gene Luen Yang's DC Universe Rebirth series continues to build its own corner of the DC world, and this issue looks like a genuinely thrilling escalation of the team's young story.

After a skirmish with Kenan and his allies, the Chinese Freedom Fighters break more allies out of prison, including the Human Firecracker, who has been cultivating Starros to take over China. Doctor Omen wants Laney Lan to help publicize the debut of China's Justice League. Omen's three conflicted heroes agree to participate, but later they leave to check up on Kenan's father, and Kenan is shocked to discover that his dad is actually the Flying Dragon General, leader of the Chinese Freedom Fighters.
