New Mutants Lethal Legion #2

Part of Marvel's 2023 Destiny of X initiative, this second chapter of New Mutants: Lethal Legion carries the grimly apt title "Terrible Decisions" — and the cover by Javi Fernández makes clear the stakes are already high. A red-haired young woman in a skull-emblazoned costume strides forward defiantly, wielding what appears to be a large blade, while scattered wanted-poster-style sketches of other mutants surround her and a looming, ominous figure dominates the graffiti-tagged wall behind her. The tension Fernández captures here — defiance set against threat — makes this a compelling entry in Charlie Jane Anders and Enid Balám's action-charged series.
