Another story titled "Conflagration" depicts Mrs. Carl Ruth of Worcester, Massachusetts, who discovers a fire in her basement storage tank while checking on neighbors upstairs; she heroically rushes back downstairs to her apartment to rescue her one-year-old daughter, four-year-old son, and a young friend before the building becomes an inferno.
