New Heroic Comics #53

New Heroic Comics #53 is an anthology featuring stories of real-life heroic acts. One story titled "Rescue from Well Hole" depicts fireman Everett Skinner's courageous efforts to save a man who has fallen 140 feet into a well in Plainville, Massachusetts. Another story, "Not a Chance!," recounts seaman Walter Hansen's heroic actions aboard the U.S. Army transport ship Clevedon when a catastrophic fire and explosion threaten the vessel, its crew, and nearby ships in an Alaskan port. The issue also includes a story about twin boys Ronald and Donald who bravely attempt to rescue their injured parents from a burning car despite the vehicle and surrounding road being engulfed in flames.
