New Heroic Comics #51

New Heroic Comics #51 is an anthology of true-life heroic stories featuring dangerous real-world situations. One story, "Death in the Balance," depicts James M. Simmons, chief of the Mt. Hood Ski Patrol and Red Cross first-aid instructor in Portland, Oregon, whose trained judgment protects the occupants of a wrecked car on an icy highway. Another story features a woman stranded in the snow in Newfoundland who is rescued by a dog, and subsequently saved from an oncoming train by lying between the rails—narrowly escaping with her life as the train passes over her.
