From the Walter Lantz stable of characters, this February 1946 Dell anthology brings together Andy Panda, Oswald the Rabbit, Woody Woodpecker, Lil' Eight Ball, and Raggedy Ann — all cheerfully introduced along the left-hand strip. The cover by Dan Gormley sets a wintry scene in front of an igloo, where a scarf-bundled Oswald the Rabbit looks on as a rooster character handles a barbell, with cans of "White Wash" and tennis balls scattered nearby. With John Stanley on writing duties and a story titled "Soap Bubble Land," this is a charming snapshot of postwar funny-animal comics doing exactly what they did best.
