“The War Day Part 1”

In "The War Day Part 1," the Exiles find themselves caught in a fractured reality where England and France are locked in a brutal conflict. As Mystiq and Rogue race to protect a young prince from assassins, the rest of the team faces a dire choice: battle Havok or risk the life of England’s queen. Psylocke’s sudden visions of China and her counterpart’s death at the hands of Slaymaster send her on a desperate journey, while Cat watches in dread as realities flicker and vanish. Written by Chris Claremont and illustrated by Tom Grummett, with colors by Wil Quintana and letters by Tom Orzechowski, this issue features a striking cover by Alan Davis and Mark Farmer.

The Exiles are on a modern world where England is at war with France. While Mystiq and Rogue try to save a young prince from assassins, the rest of the team battle Havok with the life of the queen of England at stake. During the conflict, Psylocke starts speaking Chinese and has visions of being the Lady Mandarin. She flies to China and finds her counterpart on this world already killed by Slaymaster. Back at the crystal palace, Cat watches in horror as realities begin to blink out of existence.
