Part of Marvel NOW!'s "Prelude to Infinity" banner, this 2013 issue brings the Inhumans front and center, with a commanding Black Bolt dominating the foreground in his striking black-and-white costume, mouth open as if on the verge of unleashing his devastating voice. Medusa's flowing red hair, the loyal Lockjaw, Crystal, Karnak, and a green-skinned figure round out the assembled cast below him, while a brooding, purple-tinged visage looms large in the background — suggesting that whatever Maximus made may have consequences far beyond the Royal Family. Jonathan Hickman's script and Mike Deodato's bold, atmospheric linework make this an appealing entry point into the cosmic tension building toward Infinity.
