Near Death #3

The cover of this third issue says plenty: a hard-edged man stands behind prison bars, wrists bound in handcuffs and a Seattle Police Department badge looming overhead — a tense image that captures the gritty, crime-noir tone this series does so well. Faerber, Guglielmini, and Riley bring a restrained intensity to the composition, letting the subject's steely stare do most of the talking. If you've been following Near Death, this one looks like the walls are closing in.
