夏目友人帳 [Natsume Yūjin-chō] [Natsume's Book of Friends] #1

This is the first volume of the Japanese-language edition of Yuki Midorikawa's acclaimed supernatural manga series. It introduces Takashi Natsume, a boy who can see spirits, and his discovery of his grandmother Reiko's Book of Friends, a collection of yokai names that binds them to her service. The volume collects the opening chapters of the series, originally serialized in Hakusensha's LaLa DX magazine from 2005 onward.
