This handsome Dupuis omnibus collects the opening adventures of Natasja, the plucky flight attendant created by writer Gos and artist François Walthéry. The cover by Walthéry sets the tone perfectly: a composed, uniformed Natasja stands her ground in a jungle clearing while two imposing figures loom on either side of her, each brandishing a large machete. It's a fine showcase for Walthéry's warm, expressive ligne claire style — equal parts charm and tension — and a great entry point for readers discovering this beloved Belgian series in 2018.
