Nancy in Hell #1
This first issue of Image's four-part series launches with a cover by Juan José Ryp that wastes absolutely no time — a wild-haired blonde woman, blood on her lips and fury in her eyes, bursts forward through a hellish swarm of grotesque zombies and writhing demonic creatures. Behind her, a red-haired figure looks on in terror while mechanical structures loom above the chaos, all rendered in Ryp's breathtakingly dense, detail-packed linework. Writer El Torres and artist Juan José Ryp look to be delivering something genuinely unhinged with Nancy in Hell, and this opening issue sets a tone that's impossible to ignore.
