Naja #3

The third volume of this French thriller from Dargaud finds its deadly protagonist front and center — a tall, imposing figure clad in a dark fur-trimmed coat, twin blades drawn and crossed at the ready against a deep crimson background. Bengal and Morvan craft a cover that radiates quiet menace, the character's unsettling pale eyes and blood-red palette suggesting a story that doesn't pull its punches. If the first two volumes pulled you in, this 2009 entry looks every bit as sharp as those blades.
