Stranded and unseen, he relies on the hobbyist’s shared understanding of dimensional theory to orchestrate his escape. When the hobbyist finally frees him, the tiny researcher’s return to normal size becomes the ultimate test of belief—proving his reality not with words, but with a box that refuses to hold the man who once was trapped inside.

In "Alone in the Night!", a thief lures a wealthy young woman onto a moored yacht, only to find himself stranded as the vessel drifts into the open sea. The woman, smiling from the dock, reveals she was a thief too—cursed to remain aboard until another takes her place.
