Fiona Staples delivers a beautifully atmospheric cover for this fourth chapter of Steve Niles's IDW series, setting two unusual figures — a cloaked, skull-faced character perched atop a grave marker and a hunched figure in a diving-suit-style helmet kneeling beside a cross — against a moonlit cemetery crawling with ravens. Looming above them in dark silhouette is an enormous skeletal presence, arms outstretched, framing the entire scene with an eerie, almost theatrical dread. It's a moody, confident composition that captures exactly the kind of macabre adventure Mystery Society promises.
