The Green Mask and Domino pursue criminals in "Coffins for Coppers," while Lynx and Blackie the mystery boy investigate a mysterious killer demanding "Blood Money." Additional stories in the issue include adventures featuring Mortimer the Wraith and Private O'Hara.
When a priceless jeweled Kali statue meant for charity becomes the target of the ruthless Lee So, the Blue Beetle must race through Chinatown to stop the theft—but discovers that the villain's scheme runs far darker than a simple robbery. As Lee So's deadly plan unfolds, the Blue Beetle and reporter Joan Mason find themselves hunting a murderer who has left his name written in blood, determined to expose the evil behind the joss-house demons.
The Green Mask and Domino pursue a ruthless gang called the Hooded Killers, whose mysterious leader has vowed to fill coffins with corpses—starting with the hero himself. When the trail leads to an abandoned monastery harboring a sinister operation, the Green Mask must battle through the hooded thugs to stop their leader's deadly scheme and rescue those trapped in his path.
The Wraith, the ghostly protector of the murdered Gary Kennedy, answers a desperate plea to save a young man and woman from danger at a gold mine—where a conniving criminal named Roarke schemes to steal their inheritance by force. With his spectral powers stretched to their limits against the rising dawn, the Wraith must outwit a gang of desperate men and prevent a tragedy before he's forced back to his grave.
When the Lynx and his partner Blackie infiltrate an extortion racket by posing as a gang member, they uncover a dangerous web of deception—but their cover is blown when the real gang member shows up, forcing the Lynx to fight his way out and pursue the mastermind, William Bond, through hidden passages and into a final confrontation at Kelly's Pool Parlor. With Blackie's help, the Lynx must dismantle the entire criminal operation before Bond can escape.
When jewels go missing from a guest's bedroom at a Long Island estate, the butler is quickly arrested—but Zanzibar the Magician suspects something far more sinister is at work. Using his mastery of illusion and misdirection, Zanzibar sets out to expose the real thief, Raymond, and force a confession from a man determined to let an innocent person take the fall. Justice may be blind, but it's not beyond a little magical persuasion.
