This anthology issue contains multiple stories of suspense and horror. One story follows a playwright named Chloris Karel who submits an unusual manuscript about mystery and vampirism to a group of theatrical producers; the four professionals become strangely entranced by the play and eventually decide to produce it, hoping to become its authors and secure their futures. Another story, "Terror of the Lion's Revenge," involves a native lion head with supernatural properties acquired from Africa that exacts vengeance on those who possess it, with a Bowen Manufacturing executive and others falling victim to its curse. A third story centers on a man named Tom who encounters a voodoo practitioner named Orlando in a Persian shop and becomes trapped in a supernatural curse involving pins stuck in enemy figures, leading to a series of mysterious accidents and deaths.

The Terror of the Lively Corpse
7 pp · Horror-Suspense

In "The Terror of the Lively Corpse," two Duane brothers face a grim inheritance: one must die to fulfill their uncle Herman’s will. When their desperate plan to fake a death goes horribly wrong, the coffin becomes a stage for a chilling twist—one that leaves the living questioning who’s truly dead.

Vengeance of the Vampire!
7 pp · Horror-Suspense

When a struggling playwright steals a script by the mysterious Chloris Karel and claims it as his own with three collaborators, he sets the production in motion—but Chloris's dying curse comes back to haunt them in ways far darker than mere bad luck. As the cast of the vampire play begins to fall one by one, a seductive understudy named Samara steps in to save the show, and Guy Evans finds himself trapped in a nightmare where art and vengeance have become dangerously entangled. Will the curse consume them all before the curtain falls on opening night?

Terror of the Lion's Revenge!
7 pp · Horror-Suspense

In "Terror of the Lion's Revenge!", a skeptical businessman ventures into the heart of Africa to uncover a remote tribe’s secret method for preserving lion heads—only to confront their chilling belief that the dead return as beasts. When he steals their stash of diamonds, his mockery of their superstitions turns to dread as the jungle itself seems to close in. Hy Fleishman’s stark, expressive art brings the primal tension to life in this chilling 1952 horror-suspense tale.

Horror of the Voo-doo-Dolls
7 pp · Horror-Suspense

When police reporter Tom Decker investigates a series of seemingly accidental deaths among soldiers from the same regiment, his trail leads him to Orlando's Curios—and a sinister practice of voodoo involving dolls that mirror the victims. As Tom uncovers the truth behind the mysterious deaths, he discovers a priest of Sarat has sworn vengeance on the soldiers for a desecration committed during World War I, using ancient magic to hunt them down one by one. Now trapped in the shop with the very dolls that control his fate, Tom must find a way out before Orlando can complete his ritual of revenge.
