"Witches Never Die!" recounts how a young woman named Tituba, prophesied to doom her Haitian village two centuries ago, escapes her fate and survives through the centuries, only to menace the conservative streets of early American Salem with her witchcraft, until townspeople believe they have finally ended her threat. "Death Comes in Small Pieces!" tells of Eben Thwaite, a local mortician in Langton who had long been mocked by the townspeople, but who devises a supernatural revenge against those who had cruelly ridiculed him.
Smooth-talking gigolo Freddy Lake arrives at the estate of the mysterious Lydia Sherman, expecting an easy mark for his murderous scheme—but finds himself increasingly exhausted and uneasy in her foreboding home, attended by her silent, unsettling servant Roger. As Freddy settles into Sherman Hall, peculiar details begin to emerge: whispered mention of Lydia's late husband and a mysterious "blood disorder," strange nocturnal visits to his room, and an overwhelming fatigue that grows with each passing day.
Witches Never Die! follows the terrifying aftermath when Tituba, a Haitian girl brought to Salem by Captain Edward Harris to escape tribal sacrifice, is executed for witchcraft—only to return from beyond the grave with supernatural vengeance on her mind. As the town descends into hysteria and death strikes all around, the Harris family finds themselves directly in her path, facing a foe that bullets cannot stop and conventional means cannot destroy. Can anything save Salem from a curse that defies the very laws of death itself?
In nineteenth-century England, lawyer Jeremiah Land works late into the night in his office, setting in motion a chain of events that will shake the nation—all while nursing a bitter hatred for his righteous colleague Tim Dawes and a dangerous secret of his own. Deep in debt and having stolen from the firm's vault, Land prepares to level charges against Dawes before his own crimes can be discovered. What unfolds is a tense game of accusation and reckoning that will leave its mark on English society for years to come.
Eben Thwaite, the town mortician ridiculed for years by the people of Langton, nurses a dark obsession with Ann Hale—a woman who chose another man and whose family scorned him. When his bitterness boils over into a twisted plan for revenge, he sets a deadly trap, only to discover that his scheme has claimed the one person he never meant to lose. Trapped in his own house of horrors with the horrifying truth of what he's done, Eben faces a reckoning that no amount of dark justification can undo.
