A circus acrobat named Lottie Peterson is caught between two men: Ron O'Rourke, a sailor she loves, and Jim, a man who has been taking care of her. Devastated and believing Ron has abandoned her, Lottie pushes him away; but Jim reveals the truth—that Ron never stopped loving her and has been supporting her recovery all along. The story concludes with Jim confronting Ron and Lottie, forcing them to acknowledge their true feelings for each other.
