Dorothy and Ted are college sweethearts, but when her father has a stroke she has to go home to support her family, promising to marry Ted when he graduates in 2 years. Wealthy Alister, a much older man, courts Dorothy. She thinks Ted has forgotten her and falsely accuses Alister and Ted of conspiring to fix football games. However, she and Ted reconcile and Alister marries middle-aged Venesa.
