Nancy is 24 years old but her position as a teacher means she’s viewed as “older.” She becomes engaged to 18 year old Tommy, which displeases his mother and shocks others. School director Rex invites Nancy, Tommy, and others for a weekend, and Nancy is repeatedly reminded of the age gap. Rex says he loves Nancy and when Tommy admits teenager Louise is his true love, Nancy decides Rex is her man.
