Vacationing office worker Marion meets Bill, but doesn’t know he’s a professional gambler until he’s shot in a card game and comes to her for help. She agrees to marry him but only if he stops gambling. After the wedding, Bill is convinced to bet by his friend Dan, and loses a lot of money. Marion leaves him. Two years later, Bill is an unshaven bum. He tracks Marion down and discovers he has a little daughter. Don is trying to convince Marion to marry him when Bill breaks in, forces Don to admit he caused Bill’s relapse, and reconciles with Marion.
