The issue features two crime stories. "Proof That Crime Never Pays" depicts the fall of Dutch Schultz, a ruthless mob boss who grows paranoid and violent, ultimately killing his own gang members and meeting a fatal end when his scheme unravels. "Murder, Incorporated" shows a criminal outfit planning a grocery store robbery with a decoy setup, but their guard turns traitor and triggers an alarm, leading to their arrest and the guard's eventual redemption as a model prisoner who helps rehabilitate fellow convicts.
